Paranordic Cross Country Skiing
Christina’s athletic career began with Para Ice Hockey where she represented Canada as the captain of the Women's National Team for 10 years. She found Para Nordic Skiing in 2018 and fell in love with the training and experiencing the world on snow. In 2020, she went to her first international competition in Utah where she placed 3rd in the sprint and the middle distance races. Since then, she has attended 2 World Cups as a prospect with the National Team. Her most recent World Cup performances in Vuokatti, Finland (March 2021) earned her development national team status. In Vuokatti she placed 4th in the sprint and 5th in the biathlon individual race. Currently, she is living and training in Canmore to compete in the Beijing 2022 Paralympic Games!
Christina was born with a rare condition that affected the growth of her hips and legs, resulting in the amputation of her right leg.
We are so proud to have Christina join #teamzizu and can’t wait to see how her upcoming season goes!
